I want to visit Australia, what Australian Visa do I need?

There’s never been a better time to come to Australia!

We chatted to Immigration Law Specialist Julia Qian to give us the latest info to help you

COME TO AUSTRALIA!

Since Australia reopened its borders on 21 February for people who are fully vaccinated for international travel purposes, with the exception of the Western Australia state whose border reopened on 3 March, international visitors have been arriving in Australia to reunite with their long-separated families and friends, and the Australian government has been campaigning to assist in the recovery of the tourism industry, including its announcement on 22 March in the media release to invest an additional AUD60 million to bring back international visitors to regions hardest hit by international border closures.

So what are the common visas to visit Australia for holidays, recreation, and seeing family and friends?

What other things should I consider prior to booking my travel to Australia?

Given the changing patterns of global COVID-19 pandemic, it is prudent to check for Australia’s most updated vaccination and testing requirements before booking your travel. Each state and territory also has their own COVID-19 testing requirements which you should check before travelling. See here for details of the exact requirements.

In addition to the visas listed above, additional popular visas for people 18 to 30 years old (35 in some cases) are the 417 Working Holiday visa or 462 Working and Holiday visa.
